💡 Predictions

Every prediction below is backed by what actually moved spend and performance across 2025. Essentially, the major trend is that audiences are more ad-fatigued and more format-literate than ever, so the formats winning in 2026 are the ones that borrow credibility from organic contexts.

1. Statics remain the highest-leverage format

Across almost every account, spend naturally flowed to statics over any other format in 2025. They’re the cheapest to produce, the fastest to test, and the easiest to react with when an offer or moment changes at short notice.

What's proven and should scale further into 2026: meme/organic-style references, lo-fi warehouse or packing photography, sticky-note and whiteboard/handwritten price call-outs, fake checkout screenshots, and WhatsApp/iMessage-style peer-to-peer screenshots.

The common thread across every winning example is minimalism - minimal-design, minimal-copy statics have consistently outperformed more polished ones (and, that holds true year-round, not just during BFCM).

Prediction: brands who treat statics as a secondary, lower-effort format compared to video will fall short. The ceiling on statics hasn't been found yet - it's the format with the most room left to iterate on and lowest cost per test.
